The Black and Decker Grass Hog is probably the best selling string trimmer on the market. A mid-powered trimmer; it is a good all purpose trimmer with the capability to be used as both an edger and weed trimmer.

The gas-powered Poulan Pro PP125 while not a cordless trimmer does offer a versatile alternative based on an array of well-engineered specialized attachments. The split shaft design allows easy swapping of available attachments, making it an affordable alternative to dedicated tools. The edge trimmer attachment in particular has received outstanding reviews for its ruggedness, ease of use, and affordability. Many report that it performs better than stand alone tools designed specifically for that purpose. In addition to the trimmer (which comes with the unit) other available attachments include an edger,cultivator, pole pruner, and blower.
